John C. Fox

John C. Fox has practiced exclusively in the area of commercial real estate law in Dallas for over 25 years. Prior to joining Mahomes Bolden PC, Mr. Fox practiced with major law firms and was the Partner-in-Charge of the Texas real estate practice group for the global law firm Baker & McKenzie.

In addition to his law firm experience, Mr. Fox has also served his community as Vice-Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppell, a suburb of Dallas. He was also honored as the “Attorney of the Year” by the Bethlehem Foundation for his charitable work. He has also devoted substantial volunteer time to both Christian Community Action (CCA) and River Legacy (an organization devoted to the use, preservation and enjoyment of the Trinity River), two of his favorite charities.

Mr. Fox attended the University of Dallas on a scholastic scholarship and received his B.A. (Politics) in 1983 before receiving his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of law in 1986. In law school he was awarded the Passman Jones Award which is bestowed upon the student achieving the highest scholastic average while working at least-part time. He was also awarded two American Jurisprudence Awards for scoring the highest grades in two of his classes

A frequent speaker before many professional associations, Mr. Fox has also received an “AV” rating based upon the vote of his peers, the highest rating assigned to attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell, the authoritative national directory and resource concerning an attorney’s skill and expertise. Recently, Mr. Fox was admitted to the College of Texas Lawyers, an accreditation given to the few attorneys (approximately eight percent of licensed lawyers in Texas) who devote an extraordinary amount of their time to advancing the legal profession through both legal research and teaching.
