Tyrone Powell

Tyrone Powell has more than twenty years of experience in the counsel and representation of retailers, developers and professionals in real estate lease and contract negotiations with shopping center and office complex owners and other retail tenants, representing both landlords and tenants in office building and shopping center leases and in other real estate transactions. Mr. Powell joined Mahomes Bolden PC in 2009.

Mr. Powell provides advice on a wide range of matters including Commonwealth and federal government contracting, large urban redevelopment projects, acquisitions and dispositions, choice of entity consultation and public private partnerships.

In particular, Mr. Powell has negotiated and prepared urban redevelopment agreements for a $1.0 billion automobile plant, a $1.1 billion engine plant and a $55 million marina, restaurant and housing development. He has successfully completed over 700 retail pharmacy related real estate transactions and a $500 million leverage lease transaction.

Mr. Powell is active in the work of state and county bar associations. He chairs the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation’s Scholarship Committee and serves as a member to the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates. Active in the Dauphin County Bar as a former board member and the Keystone Bar as a past president, he continues to head the Keystone Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Committee and serves on its Executive Committee. He lectures in real estate practice programs for the county bar. He is also a member of the Michigan and Texas Bars.

In 2006, Mr. Powell was honored to receive the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award for public service and the Dauphin County Bar Association’s Judge Clarence Morrison Award for dedication to promoting diversity within the profession. Formerly Senior Warden, he currently serves as Parish Counselor for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and as Secretary for the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.
