E. Steve Bolden II, Shareholder at Mahomes Bolden PC in Dallas, Texas named Adjunct Professor at Baylor Law School for its Business Law Boot Camp Program.

Established in 1857, Baylor Law School was one of the first law schools in Texas and one of the first west of the Mississippi River. Today, the school has more than 7,200 living alumni. It is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Baylor Law School has a record of producing outstanding lawyers, many of whom decide upon a career in public service.

During the Spring and Summer quarters, Baylor Law School offers an intense Business Law Boot Camp. The course is taught by a team of adjunct professors who are well-established, highly-regarded transactional lawyers.

William “Bill” Mahomes, Jr., of Dallas, received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law. He is managing partner of Mahomes Bolden PC, with his primary concentration in the areas of public finance and commercial real estate transactions, as well as mediation.

Mr. Mahomes has served as a senior partner for a major Dallas-based national law firm, a partner for an international law firm and a senior vice-president and general counsel for a mid-sized local corporation and counsel to the Federal National Mortgage Association (“Fannie Mae”). Mr. Mahomes is a frequent speaker at the University of Dallas on Corporate Grievance.

Mr. Mahomes serves on the boards of the Dallas-based Today Foundation, as well as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, and has served on the boards of the Texas Pension Review Board, Texas Turnpike Authority, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, East Texas State University (currently known as Texas A&M University-Commerce), Pure World, The Association of Former Students, Kent Financial Services, The Salvation Army, The Real Estate Council, Texas Lyceum, Industrial Development Corporation, Pro-Line Corporation and Minority Enterprise SBIC Ventures.

Mr. Mahomes was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Greg Abbott in 2015. He serves as a member of the Committee on Audit and the Committee on Academic and Student Affairs. He also serves as a liaison to the Development Foundations of A&M System Members and the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets and System Military Training Programs. His term will expire
February 1, 2021.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott today appointed two new members to the Texas A&M University Board of Regents, William Mahomes, Jr. and Robert L. Albritton, and reappointed current Regent Phil Adams. The appointments are effective Feb. 1, 2015.

William “Bill” Mahomes, Jr. is the Managing Partner of Mahomes Bolden PC, a transactional law firm that emphasizes corporate and public finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and mediation. Mahomes, Jr. previously served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel to Pro-Line Corporation, a partner at an international law firm and a senior partner at a major Dallas-based law firm. He served as an officer in the United States Army Reserve for several years and on the Board of the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University. Mahomes, Jr. received a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from The University Of Texas School Of Law; he was the first African American to matriculate and graduate from Texas A&M as a member of the renowned Aggie Corps of Cadets.

Mr. Bolden focuses on a variety of corporate and securities matters, including
mergers and acquisitions of publicly traded and privately held companies, public
securities offerings, private equity transactions and bond transactions.
Prior to joining Mahomes Bolden & Warren PC in 2008, he practiced as a
corporate/M&A lawyer at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Jackson Walker
LLP. Mr. Bolden has been practicing law since 2000.
Mr. Bolden received his A.B. in government from Dartmouth College in 1997 and his
J.D. magna cum laude in 2000 from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas
Southern University, where he was a member of the Board of Advocates. He served
as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association in 2008 and under his
administration the organization received recognition as Region V Affiliate Chapter of
the Year. He served as a Director of the Dallas Bar Association in 2008. He is
currently the Chair of the African American Lawyers Section for the State Bar of
Texas and serves on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas as a Section
Representative.
Mr. Bolden has given speeches concerning mergers and acquisitions and is
involved with several community, civic, and charitable activities. Mr. Bolden has
received Presidential Citations from the J.L. Turner Legal Association and the
Dallas Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers,
Dallas Bar Foundation and the State Bar of Texas Foundation. He is a recent
graduate of the Leadership Arts of Dallas Program. He was selected as a Texas
Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2005 through 2009.

State Bar of Texas Nominates Steve Bolden of Dallas and Lisa Tatum of San Antonio as President-elect Candidates

AUSTIN – The State Bar of Texas Board of Directors has approved the nomination of attorneys E. Steve Bolden II of Dallas and Lisa Tatum of San Antonio as candidates for president-elect. Texas attorneys will cast their votes during an election this spring. Election results will be announced May 1. The president-elect will serve as president of the State Bar of Texas from June 2013 until June 2014.

Steve Bolden is a shareholder at Mahomes Bolden PC in Dallas where he focuses on a variety of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions of publicly traded and privately held companies, public securities offerings, private equity transactions and bond transactions.
